Road Trip Wednesday is a "Blog Carnival," where YA Highway's contributors and followers post a weekly writing- or reading-related question and answer it on their blogs. You can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
This week's topic: What images inspire/ represent your WIP or favorite book?
We did one of these for our RTW in July 2011, so I'll post different inspiring pics this time:
And that's enough inspiration for one post! Don't forget to go to the comments on the YA Highway RTW post to see everyone else's answers!
P.S. I'm still taking donations for the Pens for Paws Auction, so press that purple button in the sidebar to check it out. Thanks!

If I were to take inspiration from one of these pictures, I think it would be the one of the corridor, with the statue not far behind. So many possibilities with those. Great pictures, Angelica!
I would chose the second one. Love the lighthouse and the ocean there ;)
I love the last two. They are both real and a little dark at the same time.
I also really love the darkness and contrast in the last one, but all the photographs are gorgeous!
Great photos! The corridor is oh-so-spookily-familiar ;-)
The corridor photo is so good. I love abandoned buildings!
Loved your pics- they were very visual. I'd like to take a trip to that light house.
Glad to see that last photo get some love! It's one of my favorites, but it doesn't get much attention among all the other cool Castle pics!
Love these. The abandoned seaside buildings look lonely and mysterious and just waiting for someone to stumble across their story!
I love the statue and the lighthouse. All together, these images convey a sort of underlying eeriness. Very cool.
For some reason, that last photo tugs at my imagination. It reminds me of ancient farmhouses in rural PA, where I grew up--and where my current WIP is set, so it's been on my mind! Love these. You're a wonderful photographer. The corridor is really intriguing as well. The others are beautiful, but these seem to carry stories hidden in them.
oh I love that last picture! so haunting.
great pictures!
Thanks for the compliments, everyone! And for the new faces here, I'm also a photographer (which explains the watermark on the photos).
A little more about the stories behind the pictures:
The statue is on a young woman's grave in a local historic cemetery.
The lighthouse is Pigeon Point Lighthouse on the California coast.
The corridor and the lathe picture are from Preston Castle, and there is an entire gallery of shots just from there on my photo site, www.AngelicaRJackson.com
